John Eric Byers has created a visually stunning piano design that is brilliant on the surface with a richness and depth that glows. The surface has a tactile quality due to the precise relief carving which is done by hand. The finish is two shades of milk paint, an ancient and extremely durable finish applied in several coats. The design is stylized in terms of form and features round tapered legs and organically shaped lyre and leg tops.
