Whether a Steinway piano is destined for the concert stage or your living room, each Steinway is built to one, and only one, quality standard. As part of the Steinway ‘Concert & Artist’ programme, Steinway Hall London, maintains a “piano bank” of meticulously prepared Steinway concert grand pianos, where artists can select the perfect piano for upcoming performances. Each handcrafted Steinway piano has its own distinct personality and “soul”, a quality of supreme importance to concert artists. Steinway & Sons C&A department supply pianos for many major vents throughout the U.K. including the BBC Proms, and for artists such as Vladimir Askenazy, Alfred Brendel, Murray Perahia and Mitsuko Uchida.
Steinway & Sons also supply instruments for most of Britain’s major concert venues, orchestras, music society’s and music festivals such as Aldeburgh, Brighton, Bath, Cheltenham and City of London. In addition Steinway & Sons supply pianos for many International Piano Competitions and work closely with all the major recording companies such as Decca, D.G.G., E.M.I and Hyperion etc.
